Visit Your Elected Officials

Your elected officials are there to represent you. Take the opportunity to stop by your legislator’s local office to express your views on official language issues. As many elected officials may oppose the issue without ever having read it, be sure to bring a copy of the bill along with you (click here for the text of H.R.997, "The English Language Unity Act of 2007").

Remind the legislator that more than 80 percent of all Americans agree with making English the official language of the United States. To find the addresses of your elected officials, visit our legislator lookup page.
