Audiocast: Opposing Government Mandated Multilingualism on Private Business

Congress is at it again – attempting to allow the federal government to force private companies to conduct business in languages other than English.

While we all understand the right of private businesses to use other languages if they choose, few who understand the importance of a common language and the rights of business owners believe that the government should be able to mandate language offerings. In response, U.S. English and Rep. Christopher Lee are countering with an effort to block this harmful clause from H.R. 4173, The Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2009.
