Arkansas Committee endorses English drivers

An Arkansas State House of Representatives committee passed a proposal yesterday requiring drivers’ license exams to be conducted in English.House Bill 2007 was introduced by Rep. Jon Hubbard and cleared the Transportation Committee with a vote of 11-9.

This is the first time Arkansas has introduced legislation requiring the exams to be conducted in English.

Currently, the state offers exams in English and Spanish. The bill heads to the full House for consideration.
